I'm an Executive Producer, Director, and Journalist who has been working in the television industry for over 15 years. I was a part of a small team that launched the MTV network in Canada where I lead the development and production of MTV News by introducing it as a regular segment in interstitials and online, as its first Reporter/Producer, before adapting MTV News into a daily half-hour program that ran successfully for 8 years. Known for my extraordinary research and ability for candid and entertaining conversations, I've conducted hundreds of memorable and widely-shared interviews with a multitude of talent, including Donald Glover, Coldplay, Oasis, Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, and Adele.

After winning a Travel Journalism Award for Best in Broadcast for the special, MTV News Pounds Britain, I created and produced SHARLENE VS., a travel series where artists in music, TV/film, and arts + culture took me to their favorite local spots around the world and shared their personal stories behind them. Locations explored on the show included Copenhagen, Hong Kong, Austin, Lyon, London, Isle of Wight, Iceland, and Portugal. Along with an accompanying travel blog, SHARLENE VS. aired in prime-time on MTV.

Since 2016, I've been based in Los Angeles as an Executive Producer/Showrunner and Director at a variety of digital and television production companies, developing original non-fiction series and producing/directing videos for all platforms. Notably, in 2023, I won an Emmy for Best Human Interest – Long Form Content for the documentary Hungry For More: The Movement to Save New York's Chinatown for First We Feast. Other projects include series for networks and studios such as Complex Networks, Spotify, Paramount+, and Warner Bros., branded/promo videos for Netflix, Urban Decay, LG, Nike, and H&M, and partnerships with non-profits such as Define American, No Us Without You, and Down North Foundation.
