I'm an Executive Producer/Showrunner, Director, and Journalist based in Los Angeles, CA, with over 15 years of experience in the industry, leading a wide variety of formats (documentary, branded, live production, podcast), genres (travel, food, arts & culture, lifestyle, social impact), and platforms (broadcast, streaming, digital, socials).
In 2023, I won an Emmy for Best Human Interest – Long Form Content for the documentary The Movement to Save New York's Chinatown as well as gold recognitions at 2024's Anthem Awards and Shorty Impact Awards for the doc series Food Heroes. Both series for First We Feast featured unsung heroes in marginalized communities as well as grassroots organizations like Inclusive Action for the City, Crop Swap LA, and No Us Without You, pushing for positive social change through food and community action.
Recent credits also include a home makeover series hosted by Cam’ron for Paramount+ and MTV, an on-platform travel series for Spotify, a social first docufollow series hosted by Sydel Curry for Complex Networks on Facebook, and an after-show podcast for a CW/Netflix scripted series as well as branded and marketing campaigns/videos for Netflix, Urban Decay, and TED.
Earlier in my career, I had the special opportunity of being a part of a small team that launched the MTV network in Canada where I led the development and production of MTV News by introducing the brand as a regular segment in interstitials and online, as its first Reporter and Producer, before adapting MTV News into a daily half-hour magazine-style entertainment culture show with candid and in-depth interviews, behind-the-scenes, and original segments with hundreds of music, film, TV, and pop culture talent. After winning a Travel Journalism Award for Best in Broadcast for the special MTV News Pounds Britain, I also created and produced a primetime travel series on MTV that featured musicians experiencing their favorite local spots around the world that had made great impact on their lives.
The beating heart throughout any project I lead is to give diverse stories, perspectives, and voices a place to be seen and heard, and where human connection, discovery, and joy can be shared. If you have a story you’d like to tell or would like to collaborate, let’s chat!
