Settling into the first few days of the new year can be tough - no more cookies, no more Home Alone (1 and 2), and a million resolutions to conquer like stop eating so many cookies while watching hours of Netflix. To help heal the hurt, you gotta Treat. Yo. Self, and a perfect place to start is at the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie. Located on the fifth floor of the Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto, a variety of traditional Middle Eastern Hammam and Gommage treatments, massages and facials are offered, such as the signature Crushed Cabernet Scrub, Honey and Wine Body Wrap, and the Vinoperfect Facial Treatment. In true T.Y.S. fashion, I had the chance to go into full-on pamper mode with the Devine Body Treatment. The 60min treatment begins with a lush body scrub made with brown sugar, hibiscus, and argan, sesame and grape seed oils to exfoliate and nourish the skin. The scrub's warm cedar, rose, vanilla and white musk scent is all I ever want to smell this winter. After a hot shower rinse, revealing baby soft skin, the treatment was followed by a 30min relaxation massage. Ahhh, soothe, indeed.
